Senator Andrew Gounardes hosts Small Business Recovery Advisory Group Meeting
June 16, 2020
Brooklyn, NY -- Today, State Senator Andrew Gounardes held the first meeting of his Small Business Recovery Advisory Group. This advisory group consists of small business owners from across southern Brooklyn from multiple industries. The purpose of this advisory group is to: (1) disseminate information; (2) triage problems that arise as we reopen; and (3) devise creative solutions to help bring our businesses back.
“As we prepare for the next phase of reopening, it's vital to be in close contact with our small businesses & do all we can to help them bounce back. I’m committed to listening to business owners and working with them to address their concerns and answer their questions on how and when they can safely reopen. Out here in southern Brooklyn, our commercial corridors are our community hubs and these businesses are vital to the local economy and neighborhood,” said Senator Andrew Gounardes. “I look forward to working with these small business owners to help them with their reopening and recovery.”
