Senator David Carlucci on Tropical Storm Isaias Hearing
Senator David Carlucci
August 20, 2020
Today, Senator David Carlucci (D-Rockland/Westchester) issued the following statement on the NYS Legislature's plan to host a hearing to examine outages and communication failures during Tropical Storm Isaias:
We need to be inquiring about standard reimbursement for customers every time we have widespread power outages. This means covering the cost of food and medicine that has gone bad as the result of power loss. If the power companies are not open to making this a standard policy after every storm, then we need to pass legislation to get this done."
