Senator James Sanders Jr. Delivers Meals to More Local Police Precincts During Coronavirus Crisis
March 28, 2020
In an effort to aid those on the front lines fighting the coronavirus pandemic, State Senator James Sanders Jr. (D-Rochdale Village, Far Rockaway) delivered food to more police precincts in his district today, March 28, 2020. The charitable work, led by Sanders' Office Manager, Lisa George, ensured that meals were given to the hardworking officers at the 101st Precinct in Far Rockaway and 105th Precinct in Rosedale.
"My office is proud to be doing our part to help the brave men and women of the NYPD, who protect our neighborhoods every day and risk their safety, especially during this coronavirus pandemic," Sanders said. "We want them to know we appreciate their efforts and bringing them meals is just one way we are showing our gratitude."
Yesterday food was delivered to the 102nd Precinct in Richmond Hill, 103rd Precinct in Jamaica and 113th Precinct in Rochdale Village.
We would like to thank community volunteer Randy Hall who joined us today and helped out, as well as the restaurants who contributed meals. We will have a proper celebratory gathering for them once the pandemic is over.
Any restaurant who is interested in donating food for possible future distributions, may call Senator Sanders' Office at 718-523-3069.
