Senator Joseph P. Addabbo, Jr.
July 20, 2020
With the school year now done for the summer, State Senator Joseph P. Addabbo, Jr. is once again participating in the New York State Senate's 2020 Summer Reading Program, in conjunction with the New York State Library.
Participating students can track their summer reading progress on www.nyread.com. Every student who submits a completed form will receive a Summer Reading Program Certificate from Senator Addabbo at the close of the program.
“With the way this school year ended due to the Coronavirus pandemic, I believe it is vital for children to keep their minds active and sharp this summer,” Addabbo said. “This is an opportunity for students to get involved with subjects they are interested in or to explore a new genre of books that they otherwise may not have. I look forward to sending out the certificates to the amazing students in my district.”
The deadline for submissions is September 1, 2020. Parents and guardians can register their child for the program on the Senator’s website at https://www.nysenate.gov/senators/joseph-p-addabbo-jr.
