State Senator Joseph P. Addabbo, Jr. recently visited an outdoor art instillation in Kew Gardens, where the exhibit’s coordinators Carol Lacks and Anthony Mavilia collected works by local artists to hang on the gates of some of the businesses along Lefferts Boulevard that had to close due to the Coronavirus.
“To see how this exhibit has taken a terrible situation — closed businesses — and turned it into an opportunity to brighten up the neighborhood and showcase local artists is fantastic,” Addabbo said. “I want to thank Carol and Anthony for their work in putting this together and for helping their community during this difficult time. I encourage everyone to visit Lefferts Boulevard to see this fantastic outdoor exhibit.”
