As Mayor Bill de Blasio continues to put thousands of homeowners in peril of housing insecurity amid the COVID-19 pandemic, elected officials, homeowners, and housing advocates will rally outside of NYC Department of Finance headquarters to demand immediate cancellation of the 2020 lien sale.
Highlighting his story at the press conference will be Michael Baril, a Southeast Queens resident who, after not receiving notice of a late bill, could lose his home over a $2,800 dispute.
