SENATOR HELMING ANNOUNCES LOCAL INFRASTRUCTURE FUNDING

New York State Senator Pam Helming today announced over $9 million in funding to support infrastructure repair and improvement across our region. These funds will be used to repair damage that resulted from several extreme winter storms that our region has experienced in the past few years.

“Investing in improving and maintaining our local roads, bridges and infrastructure is key for the success of our region. We use these roads to go to work, get our children to school and take our parents to doctors’ appointments. Local businesses and farmers also depend on our roads to get their products to market and good infrastructure is key to attracting and retaining local job creating businesses. It is important that we work with our county, city, town, and village highway departments to give them the tools they need to do their jobs and ensure that we have safe roads. I am proud to work with Jack Marren to ensure that we get the funds we need for our communities. As State Senator, I will continue the fight to secure critical funding to improve our local roads and other infrastructure,” said Senator Pam Helming.

Ontario County Chairman Jack Marren said that “these projects are critical to supporting our Agricultural Communities. These road projects will enhance commuter and student safety, as well as the safety of the Visitors to our Finger Lakes Region. I thank you Senator Helming for your continued efforts to secure infrastructure funding to support our region.”
