January 22, 2020
Senator Pam Helming attended and spoke at the New York State Wine Grape Growers 2020 Annual Members Meeting on Friday, January 17 at Anthony Road Wine Company. The meeting recapped the organization’s achievements over the past year and their priorities for 2020 were discussed.
“It was a pleasure to attend the annual meeting of the New York State Wine Grape Growers and thank you to President Linda Purdy for inviting me to be a part of it. The wine industry is a major engine of economic development in our state, generating over $13.8 billion annually. It is now more important than ever that we promote the very real impact this industry has on our economy and jobs in the Finger Lakes Region and the state as a whole. I thank the Wine Grape Growers for their dedication and advocacy and look forward to working with them again this year,” Senator Helming said.
