2020 has been a challenging year for everyone—and that’s especially true for small businesses. With the gift-giving season upon us, I would like to encourage you to “shop small,” if you’re able to.
When you shop at local small businesses, you support your neighbors and the local economy. In fact, it’s estimated that 67 cents of every $1 spent at a small business stays local. To help make it easier for you to “shop small,” I’ve included links to area Chambers of Commerce (where you can find listings of local businesses) below.
Have a small business you love? Click here to tell me about it. I’ll be sharing submissions on “Senator Ritchie’s Shop Small Guide,” a new Facebook page I’ve created to showcase the many awesome local businesses in our region.
Now more than ever, it’s important to support our local businesses. As the holiday season continues, I hope you’ll join me in shopping small!
