SERINO’S STUDENT CORNER: SERINO LAUNCHES WEBSITE FOR AREA STUDENTS

HYDE PARK, NY – Senator Sue Serino today announced the launch of ‘Serino’s Student Corner,’ a website specifically designed for area students and educators. The page features educational videos, family craft ideas, activity sheets and more that local students, parents and educators can use to supplement their remote learning plans and stay engaged throughout the summer months. With Flag Day just around the corner, the page also features educational materials designed to teach young students about the significance of this great American holiday. 

“Our students, parents, and educators have been handed a tremendous challenge throughout this time, and they have continued to go above and beyond,” said Senator Serino. “I wanted to create a special space for them to help supplement their home classrooms and provide some fun activities they can continue to do throughout the summer months and that’s what ‘Serino’s Student Corner’ is all about.” 

Currently, the site features a virtual tour of the NYS Capitol, a Lyme and tick-borne disease resource page, and a special ‘Flag Day’ landing page. The site also includes a link for ‘Senator Sue’s Summer Camp,’ which will feature ideas for special summer camp style crafts, games, and activities. 

The site will be regularly updated and Senator Serino encourages area educators, parents, and students to make their voices heard about what kind of content they would like to see added to the site. Residents can email thoughts and ideas to serino@nysenate.gov.
