NEW YORK -- Today, State Senator Brad Hoylman (Manhattan-D/WFP) issued an official New York State Senate proclamation at the Javits Center Mass Vaccination Site declaring June 14, 2021 as “Vax Daddy Appreciation Day.” Huge Ma, a Native New Yorker also known as “Vax Daddy,” is the creator of TurboVax, a website that helped hundreds of thousands of New Yorkers navigate the City and State’s byzantine COVID-19 vaccination sign-up process.
Senator Hoylman said: “It’s ‘Vax Daddy Day’! Huge Ma helped hundreds of thousands of New Yorkers get vaccinated against COVID-19 through the innovative TurboVax platform. My office alone was able to make over 2014 vaccine appointments for constituents through TurboVax. Mr. Ma then swiftly pivoted to combat Anti-Asian hate and raising funds for Welcome to Chinatown, a grassroots initiative to support Chinatown small businesses. I’m extremely proud to proclaim ‘Vax Daddy Day’ today at the Javits Center Mass Vaccination Site.”
