State Senator Dan Stec today said more than $15 million in state funding has been awarded to dozens of economic development projects in the 45th Senate District. Governor Kathy Hochul made the statewide announcement of the 11th round of Regional Economic Development Initiatives yesterday.
“This economic development funding is great news for dozens of deserving and important projects throughout our region,” said Senator Dan Stec. “I was proud to lend my support knowing the impact these initiatives will have on local economic development and job growth.
“Thank you to the leadership teams on both councils, led by co-chairs Ruth H. Mahoney of NBT Bank and Havidán Rodríguez, SUNY Albany president, for the Capital Region and James McKenna of ROOST and Jefferson Community College President Ty Stone for the North Country. We are all very eager for better, brighter days. This funding is a welcomed boost that helps point us in a more hopeful direction as we look forward to the new year ahead.”
