Senator James Sanders Jr. Condemns 2nd Impeachment Acquittal of Former President Donald Trump
February 16, 2021
Senator James Sanders Jr. said: “This second acquittal of former President Donald Trump is a partisan denial of facts and a threat to democracy. It could not be more clear that Trump’s words spurred the insurrection at the capitol on January 6, 2021, but because only a handful of republicans had the courage the cross the aisle and do what’s right, Trump gets a slap on the wrist. These members of congress who voted against impeachment were witnesses and even victims of that crazed mob on that day, but through their silence they have condoned what took place as well as the former president’s behavior and that’s dangerous.”
