NYS Architect Education Bill Signed into Law by Governor Hochul

(Albany, NY) -  Governor Kathy Hochul signed into law legislation that will update continuing education requirements for architects in New York State. The new provisions will allow architects to take full advantage of the ease and flexibility of online courses as they continue their education after licensure. The bill updates education law for continuing education for architects for the first time since 1999.

The legislation was sponsored by Senator Jeremy Cooney (SD-56, Rochester) and Assemblymember Deborah Glick (SD-66, Manhattan). Senator Cooney is a member of the New York State Senate’s Higher Education Committee.
