Senator Cooney Honors Nannette Nocon, Geva Honorary Trustee, with NYS Award

(Rochester, NY) - Today, Senator Jeremy Cooney (D-Rochester) honored Nannette Nocon, Honorary Trustee for the Geva Theatre, with a New York State Senate Commendation Award.
Nanette Nocon has been a passionate supporter of the Rochester arts community for several decades. She has served on the Board of Directors for the George Eastman Museum and WXXI, Geva Theatre Center Arts and Culture, Rochester Area Community Foundation, Rochester Philharmonic Orchestra, and the Little Theatre. Geva Theatre has previously honored Nanette with their Legacy Award.
Nanette’s passion for mentorship has made a significant impact in our community. She has invested in young people across our region, assisting them as they pursue their educational goals and build their careers.
Senator Cooney honored Nanette during National Arts and Humanities Month for her continued support and investment in the Rochester arts community, and its young people.
Nanette moved to the United States from the Philippines at age 14 with her mother and siblings. She has more than three decades of experience as a financial advisor, currently operating Nocon & Associates, a private wealth advisory practice of Ameriprise Financial Services, LLC.
The Senate Commendation Award recognizes exceptional people throughout the state who have made a lasting contribution to their community. Awardees serve as leaders in the community who enrich the social, health, and educational well-being of their fellow citizens.
