Senator Jeremy Cooney:
Steel Tech Fabricators represents the embodiment of ‘lift as we climb’. Terrance and the Brown family did not stop at their own success, they created opportunities for their neighbors. Through their commitment and focus, they have built a growing company that has a reputation of high quality steel work throughout the region. It is an honor to recognize Steel Tech Fabricators for all that they have contributed to Rochester. We are proud to have Steel Tech in our community and we look forward to their continued success.”
Terrance Brown, Owner, Steel Tech Fabricators:
“It is an honor to be given the New York State Senate 2021 Empire Award. We would like to thank Senator Cooney and his team for this incredible recognition as we are one of a few MBE structural steel companies in the upstate New York area. It has been a great journey from our very humble beginnings as immigrants from Jamaica to now, where we are capable to give back and make an impact in our very own community. We have made meaningful efforts throughout our area by ways of internships, school drives, funding for school trips and scholarships for students around the Conkey Ave area. We will continue to help others and provide opportunities for those that look like us and have similar backgrounds. This award means so much to the entire team at Steel Tech and our families that support us.”
