Over 200 cars passed through the Forest Park Bandshell Parking Lot on Sunday, September 26, to shred their personal documents and donate their household goods during State Senator Joseph P. Addabbo, Jr.’s and Assemblywoman Jenifer Rajkumar’s recycling event.
“I really want to thank USA Shred for coming and helping people safely and securely dispose of their papers, and the United War Veterans Council for collecting almost two trucks worth of household goods like clothes, toys, furniture and more, for the veterans,” Addabbo said. “I would like to extend my gratitude to the members of 104COP who were on hand to help with the traffic and keeping the lines moving. And of course, I want to thank my team for helping to put on another successful event, as well as Assemblywoman Rajkumar and her team for their partnership on this amazing event.”
Addabbo and Rajkumar are teaming with Councilman Robert Holden to bring an electronic waste recycling event to the Bandshell Parking Lot with the Lower Eastside Ecology Center on Sunday, October 3, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
