Addabbo remembers victims on International Holocaust Remembrance Day
Senator Joseph P. Addabbo, Jr.
January 27, 2021
Today is the 76th anniversary of the liberation of the Auschwitz concentration camp in 1945, where the Nazis killed more than one million Jews and others during World War II. On this International Holocaust Remembrance Day, we must not only remember all the victims of the Holocaust and the survivors, but the tragic circumstances that led to the Holocaust, especially at a time when anti-Semitism is still a major concern in our own neighborhoods and country.
