On Sunday, October 3, State Senator Joseph P. Addabbo, Jr. helped usher in over 150 cars to recycle their electronics. People were able to properly recycle computer monitors, televisions, keyboards, and other electronic devices to keep those materials and components out of the landfill. Addabbo would like to thank his staff, the members of 104COP, and the Lower Eastside Ecology Center for their help in making this amazing event as seamless as possible for his constituents.
The event on Sunday was co-sponsored by Assemblywoman Jenifer Rajukmar and Councilman Robert Holden.
Additionally, if anyone wasn’t able to make it to the Forest Park Bandshell Parking Lot to recycle their electronics, Addabbo’s Middle Village and Howard Beach offices are acting as e-waste drop off locations for the DSNY e-cycle NYC program. Just bring your small electronic devices (laptops, computer monitors, cell phones, small televisions) to one of the offices between 9 a.m. and 5 p.m., and they will be properly recycled.
