Griffo statement on federal infrastructure bill
November 15, 2021
“At a time when our tunnels and bridges need repair, underground utilities are deteriorating and many roads are in poor condition, New York will be receiving billions of dollars in funding from the federal government to address the concerning state of our infrastructure and transportation systems. It is my hope that this funding will be properly earmarked toward the infrastructure needs that exist such as bridges, roads and tunnels before anything else. As the ranking member of the Senate’s Transportation Committee, I will continue to be a strong voice and advocate for parity when it comes to this federal funding to ensure that upstate cities, towns and villages are treated fairly and that they get the resources they need to address infrastructure-related concerns.”
