WOODSIDE, N.Y. – Senate Deputy Leader Michael Gianaris joined elected officials and community leaders to visit small businesses impacted by Hurricane Ida in Woodside. Senator Gianaris toured businesses such as La Adelita, a family-owned Latin American restaurant on Roosevelt Avenue.
“Hurricane Ida brought extensive damage to Queens residents and businesses alike and we must do more to help them recover,” said Senate Deputy Leader Michael Gianaris. “Step one is helping those whose lives, homes and businesses were affected by the tremendous damage done last week. But we must also do more to combat the climate crisis to prevent similar tragedies from recurring in the future.”
