Statement from Senator Mike Martucci

Middletown, NY — Statement from Senator Mike Martucci (R,C,I-Hudson Valley and Catskills) on the swearing-in of Lt. Governor Kathy Hochul as New York State’s 57^th Governor: 

“I congratulate Governor Hochul and wish her well as she begins her time as the Chief Executive of our State. As the first woman to ever serve as Governor and an Upstater, she will bring a much different perspective to the office than her predecessor. She enters office at a time of turmoil and challenge but also at a time of promise and opportunity. I look forward to working with Governor Hochul when I can and disagreeing with her respectfully, but forcefully, when I must. The people we both represent deserve nothing less.”
