Senator Patrick M. Gallivan (R-C-I, Elma) is urging eligible small business owners in New York to apply for funding through the state’s $800-million Pandemic Small Business Recovery Grant Program. Starting June 10, small businesses can apply for grants between $5,000 and $50,000 to cover pandemic-related expenses.
“So many small businesses have suffered losses or unanticipated expenses because of the COVID-19 pandemic and are in need of assistance,” Senator Gallivan said. “These grants can help with things like payroll, the cost of personal protection equipment, the purchase of supplies and materials necessary for compliance with COVID-19 health and safety protocols, rent or mortgage payments, utilities and taxes. I encourage small business owners to take advantage of this important program.”
More than 330,000 small businesses and for-profit arts and cultural organizations are eligible for the funds. The grants must be used for COVID-19 related losses or expenses incurred between March 1, 2020 and April 1, 2021.
For eligibility and use requirements, and to learn more about the application process, business owners should visit the state’s Pandemic Small Business Recovery Grant Program website.
