Senator Oberacker Pays Tribute to Cobleskill Firefighter

COBLESKILL, 07/09/21 -- State Senator Peter Oberacker (R/C – Schenevus) recently presented longtime Cobleskill Firefighter William Johnson with the New York State Senate Commendation Award.
Senator Oberacker said, “William Johnson, or “Pops” as he is known, is a shining example of community service. Over the years, he has served in multiple leadership roles with the Cobleskill Volunteer Fire Department and continues to give of his time and talents. Along with responding to emergency calls, Bill has also helped train and teach future firefighters, ensuring that the traditions of service and volunteerism will continue in Cobleskill for years to come.”
William Johnson has served as a Chief Engineer, President, and Fire Prevention Program Coordinator with the Cobleskill Volunteer Fire Department.
Senator Oberacker presented William Johnson with the New York State Senate Commendation Award, which is awarded to exceptional individuals who have made a dedicated and lasting contribution to their community.
