(New Rochelle, NY) – New York State Senator Shelley B. Mayer, Chair of the Education Committee, will host a college fair at the New Rochelle Public Library on Wednesday, July 28, from 5 to 6 p.m.
Representatives from Westchester Community College, Iona College, Purchase College, Sarah Lawrence College and Manhattan College will be available to talk to students and parents about applying, deadlines and available scholarships.
Senator Shelley B. Mayer said: “As Chair of the Education Committee, I want to ensure our students are prepared for the future. For some, that means moving on to higher education. This college fair will allow them to explore their options at local schools and start the conversation with their families about what they plan to do after graduation.”
Director of the New Rochelle Public Library Tom Geoffino said: "We are delighted Senator Mayer chose to host the college fair at the New Rochelle Public Library. The Library is the center of learning and civic engagement in our community. We are always happy to provide students with resources to help them learn about higher education and plan for their future."
The New Rochelle Public Library is located at 1 Library Plaza, New Rochelle, NY 10801. Masks will be required at this event.
