SERINO ANNOUNCES 2021-2022 LEGISLATIVE COMMITTEE ASSIGNMENTS

ALBANY, NY –Senator Sue Serino today announced her new committee assignments for the 2021-22 Legislative Session. In addition to serving as the Ranking Member of the NYS Senate’s Aging Committee and the Cultural Affairs, Tourism, Parks and Recreation Committees, Serino has been named a member of the following Standing Committees:
· Finance,
· Transportation,
· Insurance, and
· Social Services.
“Each of these committees will play a critical role in our ability to effectively rebuild our community and our state,” said Senator Serino. “I look forward to working within each of them to ensure that the voices of our neighbors are heard and their needs met as we redouble our efforts to move New York forward.”
Serino continued, “With New York facing the biggest budget deficit in the state’s history and our communities still grappling with the devastating effects of the pandemic, we need a government ready to balance spending while maintaining the critical services that so many depend on. As the Legislative Session begins, I remain steadfast in my commitment to ensure that the state government delivers results for all New Yorkers.”
The 2021-2022 Legislative Session officially began on Wednesday, January 6, 2021.
