Senator Dan Stec (R,C-Queensbury) today met with the Queensbury Robotics teams slated to compete at the World Vex IQ Robotics Championship in Dallas, TX on May 10-12. Two Queensbury High teams, as well as a team each from the 4th, 5th and 6th grades recently earned the right to compete at the world games after their successes at the state championship in Syracuse.
Stec appreciated the opportunity to visit with all five teams, congratulate them on their considerable achievements thus far and wish them success at the World Vex IQ Robotics Championship. In addition to speaking with them, Stec presented a New York State flag that was flown over the state Capitol for the teams to bring with them to Dallas.
“It was great getting to congratulate the five Queensbury student teams heading to next month’s World Vex IQ Robotics Championships in Dallas,” Stec said. “I was also honored to present a state flag for the teams to bring with them as they represent New York and our community at the championship.
“They’ve already accomplished so much in getting to this point with their success at the regional and state level, and they should feel proud of their achievements,” he added. “I hope everyone will join me in wishing them the best of luck as they prepare to travel and compete in Dallas in just a few weeks.”
