Senator Daphne Jordan Sponsors Narcan Training and Community Forum on Heroin and Opioid Abuse Tonight

HALFMOON, NY – New York State Senator Daphne Jordan (R,C,I-Halfmoon) will partner with Saratoga County Sheriff Michael Zurlo, New York State Assemblywoman Mary Beth Walsh, Halfmoon Town Supervisor Kevin Tollisen, and New Choices Recovery Center in sponsoring an educational community forum, “Understanding Heroin and Opioid Abuse,” and Narcan training being held in the Town of Halfmoon TONIGHT.
Tonight's community forum and Narcan training in Halfmoon will educate community residents about the risks of heroin and prescription opioid use, the signs of addiction, and the resources available to help. The forum will feature a panel of experts including an Addiction Treatment Therapist, Addiction Specialists, Law Enforcement, Community Partners, and families of those affected. This evening also will feature training for attendees in the proper administration of Narcan. Details for tonight’s community forum and Narcan training are as follows:
