I’m heartbroken learning of the passing of my friend Saratoga Springs Commissioner of Public Works Anthony ‘Skip’ Scirocco. As Senator, I had the privilege of getting to know Commissioner Scirocco and working with him. As Public Works Commissioner, Skip Scirocco led from the front, putting people before politics, and tackling every project, big or small, with energy and excellence, focus and follow-through. Commissioner Scirocco leaves a legacy of successes in public works that will be unmatched as his dedicated, tireless service made Saratoga Springs, the City he so loved, an even better place. Along with being an incredible public servant, Commissioner Scirocco was a total class act, consistently making the time for the most thoughtful gestures and acts of kindness, many of which I experienced and will forever appreciate. My prayers, thoughts, and condolences go out to Commissioner Scirocco’s wife Corinne, and the entire Scirocco Family, during this most difficult time. We share your sorrow and celebrate your beloved husband, father, and friend’s countless contributions to our community.
