State Senator Elijah Reichlin-Melnick (D-Rockland/Westchester) statement in response to the 2022 State of the State Address:
January 5, 2022
“It was an honor to be in Albany today for the historic occasion of Governor Kathy Hochul becoming the first woman in the History of New York to deliver a State of the State Address.
I applaud Governor Hochul for putting forth an agenda that will greatly benefit people in Rockland and Westchester counties. From middle class tax cuts, including a historic $1 billion property tax relief plan, to funding education, mental health services, and infrastructure, while also addressing the nursing and healthcare worker shortage—there is much to celebrate in Governor Hochul’s agenda.
With her willingness to work collaboratively with the legislature, I am confident that we’ll be able to deliver tremendous progress for New Yorkers in 2022.”
