Senator James Sanders Jr. said: “Today is indeed a sad and solemn day as we send a young angel back to our Heavenly Father. Davina Afokoba was taken from us to soon and we pray for her family and friends as they, and the entire community, mourns this terrible loss. Last week, Davina, age 10, was killed by a speeding SUV while she was on her way home from school. The driver allegedly had no license, only a learner's permit. We need to do all we can to prevent reckless driving and fatal collisions"
