Statement from Senator Jim Tedisco (R,C-Glenville) on Resignation of Lt. Governor Brian Benjamin
Senator Jim Tedisco
April 13, 2022
Issued yesterday, April 12th, Senator Tedisco said, “I’m heartened the now former Lt. Governor took my advice and removed himself from office to end this distraction. Now is the time to concentrate on governing and turning this state’s agenda around to help beleaguered taxpayers and not on the Hochul Administration making questionable sweetheart deals with lobbyists and fundraising off of them. The lack of proper vetting of Brian Benjamin to serve as Lt. Governor seriously calls into question Governor Hochul’s judgment and focus on being ready and capable of effectively leading this state.”
“As I said earlier, New Yorkers deserve so much better.”
