As part of the annual “West Point Day” commemoration at the New York State Capitol, Senator Jim Tedisco (R,C-Glenville) and Assemblywoman Mary Beth Walsh (R,C-Ballston) welcomed and honored with legislative citations U.S. Military Academy West Point Cadet Micaela Choi of Burnt Hills on March 24th.
Cadet Private Choi is majoring in systems engineering and is a member of the Taekwondo Club at West Point. Choi’s preferred branch of the Army upon graduation is military intelligence and her preferred post is Fort Lewis, Washington.
“New York is blessed to have West Point, one of the world’s finest military schools in our state, and doubly blessed to have many members of that storied academy as residents who exemplify the values of duty, honor and country. It was a pleasure to meet with and honor West Point Cadet Micaela Choi of Burnt Hills from my Senate District as well as all the cadets from across the state. They, and all of the men and women of our military, truly are the best, brightest and most compassionate fighting force for good on earth,” said Senator Jim Tedisco.
