Tedisco Honors Schenectady County Librarian as 2022 NYS Outstanding Librarian

Senator Jim Tedisco (R,C-Glenville) today honored Schenectady County Public Library Director Karen Bradley as she received the New York State Senate 2022 Outstanding Librarian Award. Bradley has served as a librarian since 1983 and has been a librarian with the Schenectady Public Library for over 21 years. She received her bachelor’s degree in English from the College of St. Rose and master’s degree in library science from the University at Albany. “Our libraries are more than just a place to check out a book, they are true community centers for people of all ages that promote a life-long love of learning. I’m proud to be a long-time advocate for our libraries and help honor today the outstanding public service Karen Bradley has provided to the residents of Schenectady County as Director of the Schenectady Public Library. This award underscores her dedication to making the Schenectady County Public Library among the best public libraries in the state of New York,” said Senator Jim Tedisco.
