Fayetteville, NY – Senator John W. Mannion joined firefighters, local officials, and the public at the Fayetteville Fire Department Open House. Senator Mannion also inspected the extrication tools, rescue struts, and other rescue equipment used jointly by the Fayetteville and Manlius Fire Departments that was purchased with a $145,000 state grant he secured.
Senator John W. Mannion (SD-50) said, “First responders must have the tools to keep our communities safe and protected. When the fire chiefs in Fayetteville and Manlius told me they needed new rescue equipment, I acted immediately. Delivering for 50th Senate District communities is why I became a Senator - and seeing this project move from a written request, to securing the funding, and now to the purchase of new state-of-the-art equipment shows what partnership across government can accomplish for the people.”
