Veterans enjoy free food and entertainment at Addabbo's 13th Annual Veterans BBQ event

On Saturday, October 1 nearly 100 veterans came out to the Howard Beach Motor Club for Senator Joseph P. Addabbo, Jr.’s 13th Annual Veterans BBQ event. The veterans were treated to free food and drink from the local businesses who donated, as well as fantastic musical entertainment and fun raffle prizes.
“The dreary weather couldn’t stop this party from happening,” Addabbo said. “It was such a wonderful time and I am appreciative of all the help to throw this great event, and I want to give a big thank you to everyone who pitched in to make this the success that it was. As I like to say, every day is Veterans Day, and few things are better than helping to make a veteran’s day.”
Senator Addabbo would like to thank his office team, the Howard Beach Motor Club and Pat Connelly for helping set up the venue; Deacon Antonio Gordon from Our Lady of Grace for the blessing; LauraLee and Richie Pullara, Isabella Priolo, Bianca Zelaya, Isabella Piazza, Shannon McCabe, and Vanessa Guzzo for the musical entertainment; Sammy Lee Creations, Gina Bakes, G’s Creations Personalized Goodies, Kay Creation - Celebrando Contigo, Nick the Balloonatic, A & B Discount, and Angel Creations for the wonderful raffle prizes; and Brother’s Ravioli, Bruno Ristorante, C&C Italian Deli, Carl’s Pizza, Cross Bay Diner, Danny’s Szechuan, DiVino Pizzeria, Prima Pasta, Gino’s Pizzeria, All American Bagel & Barista II, Rosa’s Pizza, La Villa Pizzeria, Lenny’s Clam Bar, New Park Pizza, Oxford Bakery, Russo’s on the Bay, Hana Asian Bistro, Sugar Bun Bakery & Café, and Roma View for all of the food donations to make this event happen and appearances by the Senator's colleagues in government Assemblywoman Stacey Pheffer Amato, Councilwoman Joann Ariola, and Commissioner of the NYC Department of Veterans' Services James Hendon.
