At the end of November, Isabella Geroux of Bottomless Closet visited Senator Joseph P. Addabbo, Jr.’s Howard Beach office to pick up the clothing donated by his constituents during his combination Holiday Food and Clothing Drive.
Bottomless Closet is an organization that gives disadvantaged women the help they need to re-enter the workforce by providing them with free professional attire, shoes and accessories. They also host free workshops to help their transition into the workforce, as well as resume help and interview prep.
“The holidays are a time for giving, and I am humbled by the generosity of my constituents across my district for donating to this drive and helping the fantastic Bottomless Closet,” Addabbo said. “The food we collected also went to our local food pantries to help those in need during the holiday season. Thank you to everyone who donated, and I wish you all a happy and healthy holiday season.”
