(Levittown, NY) — New York State Senator Kevin Thomas had the opportunity to take a tour of the newly renovated Island Trees Public Library this week. The tour was led by Michelle Young, Director of the Island Trees Public Library. The Senator had the chance to meet library staff, check out the spacious new community room that can hold up to 300 people, and browse the stacks.
Senator Kevin Thomas said, “Local libraries are truly the heart of our communities. There are endless things to do at Island Trees, from taking a cooking class to renting out a high-tech telescope! I encourage everyone to stop by and experience it for themselves - get a library card, and take advantage of all the great resources this amazing library has to offer.”
The Island Trees Library is open Monday-Thursday, 10am-9pm, Friday-Saturday, 10am-5pm, and is closed on Sundays. To see upcoming events and learn more about the various programs and services available to residents, visit islandtreespubliclibrary.org.
