IT technical staff from the Senate of New York and the Senate of the Dominican Republic met virtually to share experiences and best practices in the use of technology. Both institutions presented their technical teams and shared knowledge on Cybersecurity and virtual processes.
This is the first time that a collaborative meeting of this kind has been held between the two legislative bodies. The meeting was coordinated by the working group between the Senate of New York and the Senate of the Dominican Republic, led by Senator Alexis Victoria Yeb (DR) and Senator Luis Sepúlveda (NY).
The meeting was also attended by a representative of the office of the Secretary of the Senate of New York and the Legislative Secretary of the Dominican Senate. The meeting was led by Senator Luis Sepulveda's Communications Director, Rusking Pimentel, and at the Dominican headquarters, José Carrasco, Legislative Secretary, with the support of advisor Graymmer Méndez. The technical team from the Dominican Republic was composed of Víctor Cedeño, Director of Information Technology and Eduardo Jana, in charge of Information Security.
This meeting is part of the exchange between both institutions established with the visit of the first delegation of the New York Senate to the Dominican Republic last August.
The parties agreed to continue working for the exchange of experiences and ideas and to strengthen the ties between both institutions.
