(Bronx, NY) - This Sunday, July 31st, the Bronx Dominican Parade will be celebrated after being postponed twice due to COVID-19. It is a great joy to be able to celebrate the Dominican community together again. I want to thank Bronx Borough President Vanessa Gibson and the organizers of this great parade for all their efforts and for inviting me to participate.

During today's press conference, convened by Bronx Borough President Vanessa Gibson, the enthusiasm of all those participating in this important celebration was clear. The Dominican community, throughout the state of New York and especially in the Bronx, recognizes my affection, respect, and gratitude towards them. Dominicans are a part of my extended family and are hardworking people that contribute great things to our communities. This parade gives us the opportunity to celebrate their traditions, share their dreams and desires, and strengthen our bonds as Bronxites.

“We are proud to be hosting La Gran Parada Dominicana right here in the Bronx on Sunday. Here in our Borough, we have the highest concentration of Dominicans than any other county in New York City, and after a 2-year interruption, we are ready to celebrate the culture, contributions, history, and heritage of Dominican-Americans” said Bronx Borough President Vanessa Gibson.

I extend an invitation to all to come together and enjoy this wonderful gathering. It will be of great satisfaction to see all Dominicans parade through the streets of their home in the Bronx.
