ALBANY, N.Y. – Senate Deputy Leader Michael Gianaris issued the following statement after the Senate Committee on Consumer Protection moved his 21st Century Antitrust Act.
“Our antitrust laws were written a century ago for a radically different economy and they are in desperate need of reform. Corporate power has reached unprecedented and dangerous levels, and we need powerful new laws to protect the public and our economy. I am pleased the Senate’s Consumer Protection committee moved this bill today and look forward to it passing the Senate and Assembly and becoming law.”
