Senator Michelle Hinchey & Ulster County Executive Pat Ryan Announce Vaccination PODs in Midtown Kingston and Saugerties
January 24, 2022
Kingston, NY – State Senator Michelle Hinchey and Ulster County Executive Pat Ryan today announced details on upcoming COVID-19 vaccination POD events in Midtown Kingston and Saugerties. The first of four will be held at the Center for Creative Education, located at 16 Cedar Street in Kingston, on Sunday, January 30th from 10:00am-2:00pm.
“Vaccines remain the most effective tool we have to save lives, keep schools and businesses open, and end this pandemic, which is why we need to make sure that we’re bringing vaccines directly to our community members so that they don’t have to travel far and it’s as convenient for them as possible,” Senator Michelle Hinchey said. “In response to this need, my office has partnered with County Executive Pat Ryan to open a series of easily accessible vaccination PODs located in schools and nonprofits across Midtown Kingston and Saugerties. Let’s not let the progress we’ve made go to waste — we can all do our part by getting our shots and getting the word out about these upcoming vaccination PODs.”
“I want to thank Senator Michelle Hinchey for partnering with us and working with our shared constituents to ensure that we continue to get our residents vaccinated and boosted,” County Executive Pat Ryan said. “Both the Senator and I agree that given the increase in positive cases brought on by the Omicron variant, vaccination is the single most effective thing we can do as a community to ensure that we can keep our schools and businesses open. Ulster County will continue to make vaccination easy, accessible, and equitable for all of our residents.”
