Senator Helming Recognizes Canandaigua Civil Air Patrol Members

Senator Pam Helming recently attended the Canandaigua Composite Squadron, Civil Air Patrol’s annual banquet and had the honor of presenting Cadet Misty Hall with the milestone General Billy Mitchell Award signifying her promotion to Officer. Senator Helming also presented the Cadets with certificates for their achievements and volunteer service to the community. Civil Air Patrol is an auxiliary of the U.S. Air Force.

Senator Helming said, “It was a great honor to recognize so many impressive young people in the Canandaigua Civil Air Patrol Squadron who are dedicated to the service of others and their community. It was my privilege to present Cadet Hall with the prestigious Billy Mitchell Award, the first milestone of the Cadet Program, which she earned through exemplary commitment and hard work. Thank you to Squadron Commander Lt. Col. Robert Frost, Officers and Cadets for their outstanding leadership and public service.”

The Civil Air Patrol is one of the nation’s premier public service organizations and marked its 80th anniversary last month. It leads emergency service missions and humanitarian efforts while promoting aviation, aerospace, and STEM education through its Cadet Program.
