Senator Bill Weber Honored Carly Sardo Upon Capturing the 2023 New York State Public High School Athletic Association Girls Gymnastics Floor Exercise Championship

Carly Sardo, a Tappan Zee High School senior and resident of the 38th Senate district, captured the 2023 New York State Public High School Athletic Association Girls Gymnastics Floor Exercise Championship in March.

Senator Bill Weber and Assemblyman John McGowan honored Carly with a joint resolution the New York State Senate and Assembly voted on reflecting her outstanding athletic and academic achievements. A standout gymnast for Tappan Zee High School, not only did Ms. Sardo defend her 2022 state title, but she also finished fourth in the all-around (37.4), fourth on the balance beam (9.450), and fifth on the vault (9.450).
