Senator Cooney Announces Funding for Rochester Jamaican Organization

(ROCHESTER, NY) - Today, Senator Jeremy Cooney (D-Rochester) announced $10,000 in funding for the Rochester Jamaican Organization (RJO). The grant will be used to support their Annual Community Health Fair. 

The Rochester Jamaican Organization serves The Greater Rochester area by educating, enlightening and empowering Jamaican-Americans. Their collaborative efforts provide our community members with beneficial opportunities and resources like annual health fairs, home meal delivery for senior citizens, and business development workshops. RJO’s Annual Community Health Fair is centered around providing health education and support services to Jamaican-Americans in Rochester.
