Senator Ramos Votes to Confirm Judge Rowan Wilson as Chief Judge of the Court of Appeals

“Judge Rowan Wilson has used his tenure on the Court of Appeals in a way that pushes the court forward. He has written a wealth of thoughtful opinions and dissents that indicate a commitment to creative legal thought. Throughout this process, New Yorkers have come to understand that the Court of Appeals - both how it is administered and how it responds to cases - has direct and critical importance on their lives. 

Judge Wilson spoke about bringing the Court of Appeals to the people, expanding diversion programs, and building consensus on the court. I believe him to be the appropriate response to the outcry for the court NY deserves, and will be voting aye to confirm him as Chief Judge.”
