Senator Mannion Presents Proclamation to Maida's Floral Shop for Thirty Years of Service to the Oswego Community

OSWEGO, NY – Senator John W. Mannion today awarded an official New York State Senate Proclamation to Maida’s Floral Shop in recognition of its thirty years of service to the Oswego community.
Senator John W. Mannion said “For thirty years, Maida’s Floral Shop has been there for Oswego County, providing beautiful and meaningful floral arrangements for weddings, birthdays, anniversaries, and other special occasions. They have also been a source of comfort and support during times of loss. Small businesses are the heart of our communities and through this proclamation, I extend the appreciation of the New York State Senate to Maida’s Floral Shop and owner Debra Sherwood for decades of service and success.”
Debra Sherwood has built Maida’s Floral Shop into a thriving business by providing high-quality flowers and service to her customers. Maida’s Floral Shop and its employees are also active members of the community, seeking various ways to donate their time to local charities and organizations.
Debra Sherwood, owner of Maida’s Floral Shop said “I'm so pleased that Senator Mannion has recognized our Shop! Maida's Floral Shop was established long ago, and quickly became a valued local business. We are all proud to carry on Maida's legacy. The proclamation commends Maida’s Floral Shop for its “outstanding and unique heritage of helping people send meaningful messages by creating premium floral arrangements and gift baskets.” It also recognizes that the shop “truly has a dedication to the people and community that it serves.”
The proclamation was given to Debra Sherwood during a ceremony at Maida’s Floral Shop with her employees, husband, and Oswego County Legislator Kevin Hill in attendance.
