This May, State Senator Joseph P. Addabbo, Jr. is partnering with Atlas Park Mall in Glendale and Main Street Radiology to host a free Health and Wellness Fair to help community members get information from a variety of businesses and agencies on how to stay healthy this year.
On Saturday, May 20, residents are invited to come to the Center Green at the Shops at Atlas Park, located at 8000 Cooper Avenue in Glendale, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. for the Community Health and Wellness Fair where vendors from local businesses and city agencies will be on hand to talk about health, fitness and how you can increase you wellbeing. This event is rain or shine.
Participating companies include ABL Beauty Lounge, Tiger Schulmann MMA, New York Sports Club (NYSC), Prime Prospect, Northwell Health Stars, Path 2 Potential, NYC Department of Health, Ridgewood YMCA, Tribeca Pediatrics and Main Street Radiology (MSR).
The festivities will feature Tiger Schulmann MMA performing a 15-minute demo at 11:30 a.m. followed by a NYSC 15-minute demo at 12:30 p.m.
“During the COVID pandemic we were all hyper-aware of our health and finding new ways to stay healthy. Now that the worst of the pandemic is behind us, it is still vitally important that we stay on top of our health,” Addabbo said. “I am happy to help sponsor this Community Health and Wellness Fair here at Atlas Park to bring all these great companies and organizations to a central neighborhood location for residents to come get some great information about how to stay healthy through physical activity, regular medical checkups and caring for your mental health. I encourage everyone to come out to this great event!”
