Griffo: Health care facilities to receive funding to improve patient care

New York State Sen. Joseph Griffo, R-C-Rome, announced today that several health care facilities that provide services to communities within his Senate District will receive important funding from the Statewide Health Care Facility Transformation Program. The program supports efforts to improve health care in the state.
Facilities receiving funding include:
- Rome Memorial Hospital (Oneida County): $26,279,243 to renovate surgical services to strengthen the hospital’s financial sustainability and preserve the community’s access to essential health care services.
- Integrated Community Alternatives Network (Oneida County): $401,018 to modernize the outpatient mental health clinic at Main Street in Utica to improve accessibility and access to patient-center care.
- The Neighborhood Center, Inc. (Oneida County): $920,737 for capital improvements to address critical infrastructure repairs and upgrades and add additional space for expansion of services and capacity.
- Upstate Cerebral Palsy, Inc. (Oneida County): $652,500 to modernize Article 31 clinic to include space to integrate Article 32 services to provide comprehensive care to individuals with co-occurring disorders and telehealth appointments.
- Chase Memorial Nursing Home Company, Inc. (Chenango County): $8,000,000 to construct a new 80-bed replacement facility to improve nursing home resident quality of care and experience.
- Chenango Memorial Hospital, Inc. (Chenango County): $20,560,485 for capital projects to redesign primary and specialty care through the construction of a preadmission testing center, relocation of outpatient surgical offices, the creation of a specialty care suite and the reconfiguration of intensive care units to build surge capacity and improve staffing efficiencies.
“Rome Memorial Hospital is a critical component of our community and region, and I am pleased that it has received more than $26 million in funding through the Statewide Health Care Facility Transformation Program. This significant funding will help to enhance the exceptional health care services that the hospital provides to the city and region,” Sen. Griffo said. “I also am glad that the Integrated Community Alternatives Network, The Neighborhood Center and Upstate Cerebral Palsy in Oneida County and the Chase Memorial Nursing Home Company and Chenango Memorial Hospital in Chenango County received funding as well. These facilities provide important services to the communities that they serve.”
