Senator Parker Hosts Annual Holiday-Toy Giveaway

Brooklyn, NY – Continuing his efforts to spread holiday joy to the children of the 21st Senate District and beyond, State Senator Kevin Parker hosted his annual Toy Giveaway Day at his East Flatbush district office. Twenty-nine organizations and families were the beneficiaries of services, and more than 1,000 toys were distributed. The toys were made possible with donations from Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority Inc., Delta Rho Omega Chapter, A Shared Dream Foundation, City Health, Emblem Health, National Grid, and Uncommon Schools.
Reflecting on the joyous occasion, Senator Parker expressed, "The Annual Toy Drive is more than just a festive occasion; it's a celebration of community spirit and the joy of giving. Each toy is a symbol of hope and happiness, and I'm grateful to have played a part in making this holiday season truly special for children in our neighborhood."
Recipient organizations included: Glenwood Houses, Haiti Christmas Toy Drive, Stuy Park Leos, Destiny Helpers Outreach, Tic-Tock Caterpillar Group Family Day Care, God’s Battalion of Prayer Church, Vanderveer Park United Methodist church, Beyond The Block, Pink Lily Inc., and a number of other community organizations.

Senator Kevin S. Parker is intimately familiar with the needs of his ethnically diverse Brooklyn district comprising sections of Flatbush, East Flatbush, Kensington, Ditmas Park, Midwood, Flatlands, Canarsie, Georgetown, Old Mill Basin, Mill Basin, Marine Park, and Bergen Beach.
